2.4 million euros seized in large action against ecstasy production

Justice and police in Limburg, together with Belgian and German authorities, held an action against drug crime on Wednesday. On Wednesday 22 people were arrested, in Limburg there were seven: in Echt, Geleen and Sittard. Hasselt A Dutchman living in Kinrooi (Belgium) is the prime suspect. In Limburg, agents invaded a drug lab that was fully operational. 2.4 million euros in cash was seized at a coffee shop supplier. The police in Limburg also discovered two sheds with weed plantations and a shed full of weed packaging material.

The campaign was led by the Public Prosecution Service in Hasselt, Belgium-Limburg. On Wednesday mornings, 24 locations were simultaneously searched in Limburg, Belgian Limburg and Germany. 160 Dutch, 85 Belgian and ten German agents were on the move.

China According to the Belgian OM, the organization imported raw materials for drugs from China to Romania. Hence the fabrics were transported via Germany to the Netherlands and Belgium. In Belgium, fourteen people were arrested and fifteen expensive cars and three firearms were seized and weed plantations dismantled. In Germany, one suspect was arrested and production resources for cannabis plantations seized. The group is also associated with cars and trucks stolen in the Netherlands and a thud in Germany.

The investigation began after the discovery in Belgian Limburg of trucks full of chemicals. The OM does not exclude more arrests in the case.
