Police pick up 650 kilos of cocaine in Spain

In collaboration with the Colombian authorities and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Spanish National Police in the west of Spain has packed 650 kilos of cocaine. The drugs were found in a secure detached house that served as a warehouse.

Eleven Spaniards were arrested. The investigation began the Spanish police were tipped that people from the Spanish coastal region of Galicia were negotiating the purchase of cocaine in Colombia.

The suspects are acquaintances of the police and came from the region around the city of Pontevedra. Six people have been arrested in Madrid.

At the moment the police intervened, the cocaine was hidden in a storage place of a passenger car. There is also 50,000 euros in cash seized, and also four cars and telephones. According to the Spanish police, the shipment was intended for sale in Spain.
